Answer: Thank you for your question. I think the footwear you are looking for is tabi.

I personally don't wear tabi for kendo practice but I know some people who do.

I am not sure if they are wearing "normal" tabi or tabi for kendo.

I don't recommend those tabi with rubber sole. You won't be able to perform suri-ashi (sliding footwork) and might hurt your training partner's toes.
