Under the AUSKF and AJKF what is the rank requirement to be a certified instructor?
Answer: In kendo, from 6-dan, it is considered to be a high rank holder (kōdansha). So strictly speaking and in my personal opinion, 6-dan and above are considered to be certified instructors.
However, in kendo, especially outside Japan, it is very hard to find a place with kōdansha so those who are keen and eager to study and learn kendo are usually in charge of lessons.
Kendo is fun! Kendo is enjoyable! Adults beginners and late starters of kendo have hard time to understand that. If you are one of them, I want to help you with learning kendo and share the enjoyment and joy of kendo! Click here to know about me and Kendo-Guide.Com.
