Thank you for your questions. Here are my answers.
1. Is it more difficult for women than men to do this?
- Live in Japan and train kendo as a woman? I hope not! I don't think so. But I am male so I cannot speak for women so hope someone else will answer this question.
2. Are there any areas in Japan where it is easier to train in Kendo? In terms of dojo accessibility?
- Big cities have well established public transportations; trains and busses. You could go to multiple dojos if you live in big cities.
3. Do you think there would be much difference in Kendo training in Korea, instead of Japan?
- I don't know. If they do kendo I don't think there is not much difference but if they do kumdo then it might be so different. If you want to do Japanese kendo and have an opportunity to go to Japan, you should go to Japan. If you go to Korea and do Japanese kendo then you need to find a dojo that belongs to International Kendo Federation.
Hope this helps!

If you want to learn kendÅ in Japan, you really need to learn Japanese. And also you may notice this when you go to Japan. Not many people speak English in Japan.
Learn kendo terms. Also you should be familiar with etiquette and manners especially when you're with kendo people.
Be humble and show your passion. Not many people reject someone who is very humble and shows passion to learn something from them and try to learn their culture.
Kendo is fun! Kendo is enjoyable! Adults beginners and late starters of kendo have hard time to understand that. If you are one of them, I want to help you with learning kendo and share the enjoyment and joy of kendo! Click here to know about me and Kendo-Guide.Com.
