I train at the kendo dojo in Leicester. It's always very friendly and encouraging. We are regularly invited to travel with our sensei's to other dojos to experience as much as kendo possible. I'm told the more I travel the more I will learn. When I gain a little more confidence that's what I'll do.
Kendo-Guide.Com: Thanks for your info. Can you share your dojo info so the person can come to your dojo?

just do it by: Rex
Sometimes you just have to do it. In kendo your appearance and agility are not what label you. In fact kendo is more of spirit, friendship, control, and attitude. Sometimes you may make bonds that never can be broken.

Actually you will be quite welcome. Kendo is about the spirit, kiai, comrade, fun, skill, and control. Usually they are all good spirited and friendly. I doubt they will ever put you down.

You Can Start Anytime by: Joe
I started kendo when I was 50 years old. I wasn't in the best shape, either, but I've enjoyed it over the past 9 years.
You will get out of kendo what you put into kendo. Don't worry about what the other people in the dojo think, you aren't there to impress them. Listen to what your sensei and sempai tell you, practice it, and work on the fundamentals. Everything else will stem from the fundamentals.
Kendo is fun! Kendo is enjoyable! Adults beginners and late starters of kendo have hard time to understand that. If you are one of them, I want to help you with learning kendo and share the enjoyment and joy of kendo! Click here to know about me and Kendo-Guide.Com.
