How to maintain a smoked shinai

Just wondering how to properly maintain a smoked shinai. Do I need to oil it?


I went through several articles online. Some suggests oiling the smoked shinai as a regular shinai and some argue it is not necessary to add oil inside.

Is it a good idea to treat smoked shinai differently?

Answer: Thank you for your question. I researched myself in Japanese websites but there are no answers to your questions. I personally never used the smoked shinai so I do not know how to take care of one. I will ask around to see if anyone knows answers to your question. Hopefully someone can answer your question!
