160 miles is not so far, I have to travel 130 miles to Lansing to practice 2 times a week, and 145 to Indianapolis to practice once a week (Though since it’s a weekday practice I make it far less frequently than Lansing). It would not be impossible to go to a practice once a month or so, and practice on your own in the interim.
Kendo-Guide.Com: Thank you for your comment. Man, you are a good student. Keep it up, ey.
The distance can be a problem for probably the majority of people, depending on their work and family situation and so forth. But I also agree with going to a dojo once a month or so if there is a dojo within a driving distance.
