Girls do Kendo

Girls can do Kendo! I am a girl myself ;). And during kendo I found four (female) friends and we aren't the only woman in our country doing kendo :).

Google "The 16th World Kendo Championships (16WKC)" and I am sure you will find a lot of woman doing kendo! I believe there were around 50 women and around 70 men participating in the WKC! So no worry, just kendo :)!

Oh, about the pain. Yeah it hurts a bit sometime, but you'll get use to it! I am also a small female, wasn't very sporty before kendo and I still love doing it! :)

There is a 16 year old girl in Kendo dojo. She is good it and actually hits harder than anyone else in the dojo. Your vision could be more problematic but not something that cannot be overcome.
